Donut Monsters

I teach 7th and 8th grade art. This was a fun side project we did at the end of our "Monster Diary" project.

We created monsters from candy, donuts, and frosting.

One of the students had the brilliant idea to draw a body on butcher paper we had used to line the tables (for sanitary purposes.)

My Mixed Media Mermaid

This was created on an LP record. I have used acrylic, watercolor paper, bingo cards, bingo stampers, plastic stars, water-soluble oil pastels, gloss medium, a silver marker, handmade paper from some soap I received from the lovely Iris for Christmas, oh, and china markers.

Mixed Media means the use of many materials in the creation of one piece of artwork. (Someone asked me what it meant, so here is the answer!)
